Local Home Service:

Here the idea for lodging is simple.

The visitor occupies a room in the heart of the home and has the possibility of sharing some of the family’s costumes and thus have better contact with the inhabitants of the lake. The association is in charge of a good and fair distribution of visitors in the homes.  The association has agreed that each family has the obligation of lodging only two passengers in their home. The houses are simple, warm and pleasant and have simple bathrooms with sceptic toilet holes and a wash basin.
In the morning, breakfast is taken in the same home surrounded by the beautiful site over Lake Titicaca.

Dinning room - restaurant service:

Each lodging sector has a dinning room - restaurant where visitors may get together. They are manager by a family or a Mothers’ Club depending on the sector where the passenger is lodged. The Association is in charge of soliciting, through a previous reservation, one of these dinning rooms for lunch or dinner.  The meals prepared will let you try a variety of products cultivated on the lake’s shores, such as a wide variety of potatoes and quinoa. You will also have the opportunity to try the rich fish, such as trout and pejerrey, raised in the lake.   .

Transfer service:

The Llachon - Santa Maria Association can also offer transfer services from Juliaca or Puno to Llachon with a local escort who will personally take you from the bus Terminal or the airport to your lodgings with a local family.
Overland: reservations may be made Esther in a private vehicle or you may choose to take a local bus to Llachon. In both cases you will be escorted by someone from either community.
Lacustrian: (only from Puno’s harbour) Transportation is also offered from the Puno’ harbour to one of the docks located in the different sectors offering lodging services.

Boat service:

The Association can also offer boat transportation service anywhere through a previous reservation.
Each boat belongs to a family and in order to operate they must follow security guidelines determined by Puno’s captainship. Boat rotation is determined by a beach sergeant who is also a member of the community.
Destinies existing for these boats are:

  1. Llachon Santa Maria -Taquile Island (both ways).
  2. Llachon Santa Maria - Amantani Island (both ways).
  3. Llachon Santa Maria - Ccotos Peninsula
  4. Llachon Santa Maria - Teques.
  5. Llachon Santa Maria - Titino Uros’ islands (both ways).
  6. Llachon Santa Maria - Taquile Island - Uros - Puno harbour.
  7. Llachon Santa Maria - Puno harbour (both ways).

Sailboat service:

There are 3 sailboat committees in Llachon - Santa Maria that will allow you to enjoy a relaxing voyage on Lake Titicaca.

Local guides:

The association also proposes a guide service with a team of young guides from the same communities to accompany you on the many treks on the Capachica Peninsula or on the near-by islands such as Taquile or Amantani.
These young persons have been trained to be the best to answer your numerous questions and they will share their culture’s secrets and their land’s traditions.
